Summer is a wonderful time to get in some quality time with your family and kick your feet up at the lake. But it's also a great time to get involved in a unique service opportunity at FBC KIDS!]
WHAT IS THE FBC KIDS SUMMER SQUAD?
The Summer Squad is a group of individuals who are willing to give one, two, or more Sunday mornings throughout the course of July and August in order to serve the ministry of FBC KIDS. This is a great opportunity to get your feet wet if you have never served at FBC before, or if it's been a while since the last time you were involved!
WHY IS THE SUMMER SQUAD IMPORTANT?
At FBC KIDS, we are passionate about continuing to offer excellent programming for the children in our church and our community throughout the months of July and August. This is especially important because of the ministry we do at Pleasantview Bible Camp. All summer long, our PBC staff work tirelessly to introduce children to Jesus for the very first time. But ongoing discipleship cannot happen during a five-day camp week! That's why we are constantly inviting our campers to check out FBC KIDS where they will have an opportunity to get plugged into a consistent faith community who will encourage them year-round.
The FBC KIDS team is made up of over 100 AMAZING volunteers who serve in a variety of roles to help create irresistible environments for kids every week. While a select few of our regular FBC KIDS volunteers continue to serve all summer long (bless their hearts), many serve at PBC and need to rest on the weekends. Others take the summer off to recharge for another year of ministry starting in the fall. For this reason, we absolutely must pull together a team of new volunteers to help our programs not only survive, but thrive, throughout July and August!
GET INVOLVED
If you don't currently serve on the FBC KIDS team, we want to invite you to consider joining the Summer Squad. It all starts with an orientation (called FBC KIDS Preview), where you learn everything you need to know as you decide if this is for you. You will also be given an opportunity to observe our program to see our regular volunteers in action before you make a commitment to help out.
FBC KIDS PREVIEW
Before committing to join the Summer Squad, we want to invite you to attend an FBC KIDS Preview session. This orientation will give you a full overview of our FBC KIDS program, and highlight important policies and procedures that we have in place to keep our kids safe! To accommodate everyone's busy schedules, we are offering three Preview sessions before the summer kicks off:

OBSERVATION DAYS
After participating in the FBC KIDS Preview, you will have the opportunity to observe our program on any one of the following Sundays: June 2nd, 9th, or 16th. On your observation day, you will have a chance to see what goes on in our nursery, preschool, and elementary environments and sit in on the program while seasoned volunteers show you the ropes.
